These are rhetorical questions. She is repeating what is obvious to her:
“I don’t believe the American people should ever be told any lies, publicly [by the government] or privately [by the media].

The method our Mayor uses is to invent an enemy of the Citizens of Newburgh in order to insulate and expect us to join forces against those who see us for what we are. Inept, confused, less than ethical, oft times immoral and less than transparent. Think about the statements he has made in public with regard to the OCCC site, the audits by HUD and the State Comptrollers office even the local media. They are against us they do not want to see us succeed.
