Take the 83% from the 2004 budget and add the 17% from the bungled West Street Project Grant ($1.75million; $100,000=1% tax increase). Not taking any increase since 2004 into consideration, would equal 100%. Obviously there have been tax increases in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. We have overspilled our Constitutional limit. Now what? Can we now fire everyone responsible who hasn't left yet? Do we pass a resolution that we won't acknowledge the State Constitution? Do we smoke a doobie and sing Kumbaya?
