That's just one of the myriad of problems the fire department has, at the last council meeting, a business owner came forward with a complaint against an Assistant Fire Chief Hager, and accused him of targeting him, possibly based on race. A source closely related to the FD, has said that "Hager" has made racist comments in the past, against a fellow firefighter of color, and apologized to the membership at a Union meeting in response to his transgression. Regardless of apology, Hager has demonstrated a propensity for racism. Go ask him about the incident, I'm sure he'll tell you about it. If not, ask the membership! They have minutes, this is a classic case of racial bias. This department has had a long standing tradition, in sweeping matters under the rug in regards to race. Once again, not blowing smoke, it's simple, go to the source. As a matter of fact, ask the current president of the fire union Camacho.
