Subject: Mr. Incompetent (Our Glorious City Manager)

During the week of March 13th, in two separate incidents, two city buses were shot out while traveling down Lake Street on their normal routes. The gunshots were fired by individuals on the street for unknown reasons.

Orange County (responsible agent for the buses, Transit Orange) immediately contacted the city regarding the incidents seeking remediation. They specifically reached out to Todd Venning, City Manager, to ensure that the city was aware of the issue and secure police support.

After over three weeks and much urgency, Todd finally decided to respond to the county regarding two separate shooting incidents in the city of Newburgh. In Todd's conversation with the county when confronted with the incidents, he had to ASK who was the operator for the busses. This is the same bus service that runs six different bus lines in Newburgh connecting the surrounding towns and villages in Orange County. This is the same bus service that provides vital transportation to thousands of Newburgh citizens to get to their jobs and services.

Todd Venning, the City Manager of the City of Newburgh, was unaware of who was the operator of the bus service and thought it might be Leprehncan transit services. NO. It's the responsibility of Orange County, specifically the government agency of Transit Orange.

This is a man who runs our city government, dots the "i's" and crosses the "t's" but doesn't know who runs our city services. Think about this as you vote for the mayor and city council as they determine his future employment.
