Subject: Fire Department Accountability

This post is in reference to an employee of the NFD. He is an Assistant Fire Chief, Timothy Hager.
Calls have gone unanswered, in regards to his bullish, unprofessional behavior towards a business and homeowner in Newburgh, Mr. Espinoza. Hager, from what I have come to understand is a racist, who has called one of his fellow firefighters a disparaging racial word. It would seem like there are no attempts to bring him in for questions in regards to the matter of the citizen, nor to formally answer for his racial diatribes on the job. What can be said is this, this will not go away, until it is answered! There is no room for hate, nor disrespect to the citizens of the community which pays his salary.
I am hoping that the city looks further into this matter to bring it to a positive resolution, so as to not involve litigation. Please, attend to this matter without haste.
Mr Mayor, you respond to everything, and everyone else, respond to this! His behavior was put on notice at the last council meeting, when he handed the council his complaint. Well now you have another, calling another employee a derogatory name is ridiculous, and the retaliatory nature of the city, has caused fear in members talking about this. Ask the current president of the union about this matter! From what I understand he will tell the truth. Or maybe you're waiting for the new Fire Commissioner to do what is morally, and legally right in addressing the situation. It is a shame that this is the course of action that has to be taken, in order for a light to be shed on an embarrassing situation, involving a superior officer. Maybe Mr. Hager would address this situation of his racial slur? Please I implore the city, and it's corporation counsel, as well as it's human resource manager to look into this matter.
