"Due to the incivility of people, last year a fight broke out... ." Fify. The original 'Illuminated Festival' effort was to present a Newburgh of interest. The hub was a tour of its historic Edison facility on Montgomery Street and spoked out from there to the other historical points of interest with the few hospitality and art venues piggybacking. Hopefully garnering some interest from those outside the city looking to relocate. As too often the case, that wasn't enough for the city's handlers. It wasn't inclusive enough of the community. "Let's keep it real, bigger...MOAR!" . Rebranded, the 'IF' org. didn't have the funds to carryout this agenda, so a quid pro quo was made with the county. Net result of the 'extend and pretend' is an open air "cultural" bizarre.
