Subject: Fire Department debacle

An article recently put out on spectrum news 12, highlighted an Assistant Fire Chief, of becoming the new chief of the city of beacon. It stated that the Chief would be working in beacon on a part time basis. Hopefully due to the short staffing of the city fire department, a promotion to replace this assistant chief happens in a timely fashion, as to not create an unnecessary overtime hole. I'm quite sure an eligible candidate is in the wings to fill this void. Hopefully our esteemed City manager looks into this before a problem arises out of this employees advancement into another department.
