Subject: Water Rates Jump 6%

City of Newburgh water bills just came with a letter announcing a 6% rate increase. Didn't we just have an increase? Didn't we stop using it as a Slush Fund?

Infrastructure work all over the City: streets closed, chainlink fencing everywhere, Colden and Washington cut off for months, 8 years no waterfront pier, on and on. Anyone know the timelines to put Humpty Dumpty back together again?

Council will be discussing a $1mm re-allocation of federal recovery funds...something about water. Work Session Thursday.
