How can the mayor say that the public knew about the retreat for months, when this article clearly says there was no mention of a vote or discussion in public. The mayor goes on to say it's unfair for the public to criticize city government for the educational retreat. To me, it is an insult on the citizens intelligence. At what point are we going to call these political pimps to the carpet, and put them on blast for overt lies. Look at the fires we've had in the past few months, only two responding service vehicles. One from the west end, and the other from the east, no immediate backup. Our Police department is understaffed, they're trying to hire lateral transfers, no one wants to work for a City government who puts lies, and unsound safety plans before workers safety, and the citizens they are sworn to protect. The County Executive just went on record to say he's never met the City manager! That's crazy as hell!. But we still go on about our business. I cannot wait to retire, so I can leave this God forsaken hell hole I have called home for 40 years.
