Once again, another misdirected response to my message.

BTW I am far from misinformed, and in no way live in a bubble.

It is therefore incomprehensible to me that one would be so dismissive as to not recognize the issues that exist that contribute to quality-of-life and societal woes of our City.

I do not deny at all the dark history of Newburgh, but someone like yourself seems fixated on those things that are impossible to change. This instead of recognizing the much more recent, let’s say the past 75 years of things that are purely personal decisions.

White men don’t tell Afro-Americans (BTW I only used AA for the sole purpose of brevity) to drop out of high school, commit crimes etc. White men do not get young Afro-Americans pregnant young, then not support them. White men do not make Afro-American females obese, thereby overburdening social services and developing medical conditions such as obesity. Anyone in Newburgh like that who says they are food deprived is comical. And so on.

Blame the white man, but in all the things I proposed for consideration in my first message there isn’t one white man, or white men, to hold responsible. Defending these things does nothing but legitimize them.
