FYI….Blacks were never expelled from Newburgh. Much to the contrary many came from the South, places like Lumberland, Clinton, etc. Ever wonder why a lot of older Black folks here have Southern accents?

Your ignorance is deafening. Stop by our library and educate yourself on facts. There is a news report about it that was made and nationally televised years ago. Blacks have always lived here, and they contributed positively in many ways.

Then the influx changed everything. The result was so-called white flight, based largely on racism and fear. Sadly the result of it all changed everything in a negative way. And sadly Blacks did little to prove Whites wrong.

Stop looking for who to blame, acknowledge the past no matter how hard and stop playing the race card and blame game. There is enough of it to go around for everyone involved. Only then will things get better.
