Good to have you both, I believe the racist undertones reflect the current pulse of the nation, fueled by the current administrations manipulation of certain demographics. People need to influence government, and not the other way around. I'm interested to see how the new council additions influence policy. And I agree the CM form of government works best here, it is the councils fault for letting the previous CM get out of pocket so to speak. It's convenient to blame it on the CM, but the council has checks and balances to keep the CM inline. I struggle with believing that the prior cm was so uncontrollable. If that was the case, why wasn't it addressed? This is the underlying question. Anyhow, will changing the current style of government prevent this from happening again? What are the benefits of this change in relation to the population and demographic makeup of Newburgh? I may be late, but I haven't heard any real concrete information about what I just asked? I remember council meetings, where individuals were upset, over the beuraceacy of planting trees, but is this a fundamental reason to change the governance style of a small city, with no tax ratables? Sorry for the rant, but looking forward to seeing what comes of this. I'm quite sure horticultural differences isn't the only reason, but I want to hear more. Can someone direct me to an informational platform for this change?
