There is nothing wrong with a charter review in the abstract, but when the call for it is being lead by the dumbest citizens we’ve got and combine that with the fact that this is the dumbest version of the council we’ve had in some time, that’s why there is some pushback against it.

When you have Martinez incapable of actually saying what about the city manager form of government isn’t working, when you have Monteverde who has been in city government for decades saying people don’t trust the government, when you have Shakur who would be a lock to win a strong mayor election, I would rather it be completely unclear how to plant a tree on a city sidewalk than have any of these bozos making big changes to how the city government functions. The juice wouldn’t be worth the squeeze.
