The positioning of the rebuttal was in the center-fold so you had to turn the page to read it. It was not where "My views" are generally posted. However the Kool-Aider's was on the same page with the editorial and letters. If you thought you had read all opinion, you wouldn't think to turn the page to read more.IMHO

Thank you for the editorial July 23 regarding the dysfunction in our city government.

We need your powerful headlines and stories until the City Council is changed to individuals who are competent, thoughtful and willing to work with each other to make the city a better place. We need City Council people who have lived in other cities and perhaps countries and who know about how cities operate and work.

Thank you for putting the dysfunction in the city front and center in the paper. I hope there is a time when you will be able to put it front and center because of changes that are being made to make it a better place. I hope that time will come soon — starting just after this fall's election.
