From the point of view of people I know, they all want Leyland to develop our waterfront AND make a profit from it. But look at who they're saddling up with- Nicky, the knife. The same guy who defended Carchietta's folly- now our folly, the same guy who defended the courthouse scam on lower Broadway and the weasel who masterminded it, the same guy who beamed about getting the Savoy money back failing to include the caveat that it cost more in legal fees than what was returned, and on and on. If they're so good at what they do, why are they using the same tactics as the carpetbaggers before them? I would throw that question back to you, in what way has Leyland exhibited doing things any differently? With the way they've gone about planting patsies in this community, they've taken what's been done in the past to a new level. Hate, envy? No, it's more like informed skepticism.

How do you know what Leyland will or can do? They can't even come up with $300,000 to do a small project. Why's this any different than Carchietta's ownership and promises?
