If Leyland is broke where will they get the money to buy the Carchietta property? I would think the city would have to put the property up for bid. If you think Leyland is going to hold the property and then "flip" it you sure know some inside information that no one else knows. It is your duty to make a big public stink and insist the city put in a clause that whomever buys the property, must start building on it within a certain time span. I would also think the property must be appraised by professionals to assess its true value which may well be more than $50K. But there is no law stopping you from bidding on the property and "flipping" it yourself.
