Subject: A plea

Well, it's happened again. Someone told me a whopper they had heard... the foe of the tale was the Mejia camp.

One check of the Orange County Board of Elections confirmed the whopper for what it was.

Now, I admit, not everyone knows how to fact-check. But anyone who is running for office certainly should. If they can't tell the difference between bullshit and the truth, then there's a problem. And if they don't know or don't care if something IS bullshit, but go ahead and preach it to others, then there is an EVEN BIGGER PROBLEM.

(The editorial dept. of the Record should think on this as well.)
