McGrane/Valentine/McKenna were happy to do biz with the Rudester for a while there. His park planning was in full swing, when all of a sudden, they pulled the rug out from under him. It was bye-bye meditation garden, hopping rocks, streams, musical forests and caretaker/bathhouse, and hello bar stools on rubble, remember? It's not like they saved any money though, with the building purchase, all the crony contractor ripoffs, and of course the do-over.
