Hope they give city employees raises, due to cost of living. If the city's expenses are up due to inflationary costs, what the hell do you think the workers are facing? You have well over a million dollars just in department head salaries! And now upper level management has proposed to increase their ranks once again, with no clear answer publicly as to why these positions help said departments. If it was given clarity as to why these decisions were made, it probably would go over better with the public. Mayor Harvey, and most of the council have a less than rudimentary knowledge of how these departments are run, and only care and comment aggressively when budget time is nigh. Same story, different day. Brave women and men of these departments make these departments function, despite the total lack of support, and general ineptness of the council, making life and death decisions, as if they are casually ordering from a fast food menu. Ridiculous. This city is economically surviving off the backs of forced concessions on union employees. Newburgh, is becoming a right to work entity. Council is using a "let them eat cake" approach in terms of contract negotiations. You saw how that mindset ended up for that governing individual. Take care of those who take care of you, make it fair, and equitable for ALL those involved. Not just a one sided take it or leave it contract negotiations approach. Who is going to invest in a gun ridden, ignorant government, grand standing, book peddling, charlatan Mayor ass city?
Only thing that is going to happen is what's been happening, equity firms buying big real estate, and making it unaffordable for the native people to live here. Torrance Harvey is a carpetbagger, and a opportunistic scumbag who seeks attention.
