It was a high ranking politician that said there is a shortage of workers. To your industrial development, it takes energy, high density energy, and lots of it. Solar and wind isn't going to work to explore, mine, process, manufacture and transport along the way the resources required. But carbon fuel is bad, so it's said by the same ilk that seemingly ignore the correlation of forced population growth on a housing shortage, nineteen consecutive months of declining Real wages and a power grid that is atiquated. fwiw...hospitals are bleeding cash reserves...small businesses, to include restaurants, are behind on the rent...consumer credit is being used at an all time high just to pay the bills...Big Tech, Finance, Retail have been slashing head count. Further, consider that diesel fuel inventories are at an all time low in the northeast alongside a diminished national refining capacity, "use what we have" runs counter to "carbon free" development running tanget with the developed world's nimby approach.
