So, Natty power plant bad, bunker fuel cruise ships good. Got it.
"While cruise ships account for only a small proportion of the global shipping fleet, they have a disproportionate impact on air quality, habitats and the climate. Cruise ships require more fuel due to the energy demand of the hotels and leisure facilities provided onboard as well as propelling the ships through the water. Cruise ships travel fast and close to the coastline, meaning that huge volumes of fuel are burned in close proximity to coastal populations." fwiw, I'm not a greeny, just pointing out another "woke" hypocricy.

That said, you're right, in lieu of a smaller river cruise ship offering a shuttle service down the hudson river to board a larger cruise ship at the manhattan or brooklyn port of call to take you to your carribean destination, I suppose you can take a vehicle or train to nyc, board a roundtrip hudson river cruise, disembark in nyc, and board a larger passenger cruise ship to the carribean...bon voyage.........
