The American Cruise line used to dock at Newburgh Landing. Appproximately 80 passenger size. Passengers would disembark, get escorted to various sites (Storm King Art Center, FDR, etc.) usually stayed for 2 days.

The Planning Board had a "public comment" session or two on the new design plans several years ago (during Deirdre Glenn's brief tenure as Dept. Head). No one on City Staff had the 1st concept of maritime needs and what goes into a successful dock. The entire design should be reconsidered.
with a vision of the Landing's capacity and best use to optimize tourism and city income. In addition, the City is required by state law to have an experienced Harbor Master for Newburgh Bay. The last official Haroer Master was Jean McGrane's secretary.

I heard the borings for pilings have been done, but 1) is that true, and 2) is the engineering department really capable of overseeing it?
