"The patient arrived on Tuesday at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in the City of Newburgh and is currently in isolation there. Hospital officials say that they have furloughed 26 employees for possible exposure and that none has shown symptoms of the illness.

Dr. Irina Gelman, the Orange County health commissioner, held a conference call with reporters on Thursday afternoon to answer questions about the case, but wouldn’t give say where in Orange County the patient lives or give his or her age or gender.
The patient’s medical provider will determine who the patient had been in contact with. The county Health Department will notify those people of potential exposure and verify if they have any coronavirus symptoms and should be tested. The patient is being treated in a hospital and is isolated.
