Why would someone making that kind of salary put themselves in the middle of that mess? Real estate agents, non-profits, politicians, health insurance, amazon employment booths? There is nothing of value for the City of Newburgh in that festival. They don't even pay the musicians(we know they pay some of them but don't want the others to know). They don't give food vouchers to the volunteers. The only part of the festival that was well done was the set up by DPW, NFD and NPD and the clean up by DPW. Yet even though the city covers the insurance and pays through the nose for overtime, there's no accounting for where all that money that they raise goes.
