Property taxes are correlated to the underlining assets, properties, which have been bid up since 2008 due to the cheaper money recovery. Cheap money subsidized affordability where progressive policies enable it, ring a bell? The thing is, the inflation just now being called out (the woke bogeymen distractions aside) was always there, it was just held under wraps because the cheap money was being funneled to the financial assets and the "service" economy. Well, no more cheap money, the rug's been pulled, shtf. I'd prefer a city manager living in oshkosh that said "NO festival this year because this is reality kids...".
