Any half brained personal injury law firm will win this "wrongful death" suit. The legal fees alone to fight this in court is going to be tremendous. Kelson isn't a PI attorney. The city is going to have to hire an outside firm to represent them in this court battle they most certainly will lose, that's why they will have a pretrial settlement. Won't even make it to a jury, city is culpable for the death of the resident for reduction in services, a Conor O'Davie's study won't suffice in court as evidence to defend the city from negligence. Executive session is nothing more than a non disclosure meeting they have to discuss what the council doesn't want the public to know!! I know this, the settlement will be more than the overtime the Mayor complained about!! My condolences to the Benedict family.
