Resident after resident addressed the Newburgh City Council Monday night to complain about housing conditions. They spoke of rodents, bugs and other unsanitary conditions including broken sewage systems. Mayor Torrance Harvey assured they the city is cracking down.“Landlords are fine but slumlords we don’t get along with and that’s a fact,” he said to cheers from residents. The mayor said he makes periodical surprise visits to neighborhoods to check up on housing conditions

When will you folks learn, there is no solution coming from city hall or any other savior just meaningless words from fork tongue officials and community "leaders.".

You cheer with hope like so many times but history has taught you that you will be doing it till kingdom come in your rodent and bug infested slums.
