The Westchester District Attorney's Office is investigating the finances of the Mount Vernon Public Library following years of shoddy bookkeeping and questions about $50,000 in debit card purchases. LoHud News

Over the course of two years, a Glen Aubrey woman helped at least 33 people book expensive vacations. Some victims showed up at their vacation spot with no hotel rooms waiting for them. Others never made it out of the airport, or in some cases, the vacation simply never materialized. During this time, prosecutors say, Lisa Stevens took approximately $111,000 from those victims who used her as their travel agent only to be scammed out of their vacation plans. Their money was gone. - LoHud News
