The courts are already backed up with eviction cases. There seems to be the assumption that evictions weren't filed or that notices have been going unchallenged by the tenants. Extend and pretend. The 'state' legislation seems to have stalled on this issue. I'll add, it has little bearing on the grey market that I alluded to regarding the "official" census count. The municipalities that have turned a blind eye to it are now in crisis mode...moral hazards are a bitch. "Interesting"? What is it when landlords can't get the parts to fix boilers? Or even if the boilers works, when the fuel costs increases beyond the tenants' income rate? When the peeps catch on and start to panic buy...that's hyperinflation. Problem, crisis, solution. If the path to socialized housing materializes, the best the small to mid-sized landlords can hope for is a fair 'pennies on the $' for their property from the likes of Blackrock. The tenants...enjoy the centralized planning.
