Gubberment does not mix with activism. CenHudDude is correct. To suggest that gubberment can provide a solution to societal degredation is naive. As well, there is a conflict of interest inherent in a government body comprised of members of the educational system...the latter has embraced the position of proxy parent, despite it demonstrating to be an epic fail when measured via scholastic achievement. It's failure to provide emotional/mental/moral health in children is coming to fruition and it's getting ugly. Better end the deference to the nanny state and start a transparency of consequence asap. Related, some napkin math...the properties pushing a million $s in assessment values are multi-families comprised of 900 sq.' on average with each unit accounting for approx. $4k-$5k annually in combined property and school taxes. So about ten units is the equivalent to the annual cost of ONE student. CAP rates are at an all time low, rents can only be raised so high...do we see the problem yet?
