The agreement that Dr. Padilla has signed with the district will place him on administrative leave with full pay for up to 23 months, not the three years that had been reported in the media. He has submitted his resignation for 11/30/23. If he finds employment prior to that date, he can submit a revised resignation with a new date. Even if he finds employment sooner than 11/30/2023, however, the taxpayers will be responsible for his full pay until 11/30/2023.
