Newburgh looks to restore 1830s-era Dutch Reform Church on Grand St, next to the library, AGAIN!
"The Newburgh city council voted March 14 to spend $5,000 on a grant consultant, Elizabeth McEnaney, to sort out how to find funding to rehabilitate the historic landmark."

With a history of failed so-called efforts, call it dreams, this building's decay and location shows no promise of being rehabilitated or having any real possibility of having a purpose. Like the other decaying building on the corner these two blights are nothing more than shells of memories, wishful thinking and a political gimmick for the city.

Do what the school district did with the decaying and useless empty Balmville school and tear it down.
