Material/labor purchased with the original unspent 2004 $50k grant referenced will now cost $75k. Apply the same devaluation to ANY grants awarded over the years to the city that remain viable. Money wasted...plus any opportunity costs. At the current rate of inflation, the monies are degrading faster than the building itself. Get a deconstruction crew to pay the city for what the "historic" materials are worth.
The five years old engineer's report is still valid or is another required? In general, how many times has an audit of the city's outstanding grants been opined?
