How many more times are they going to use “the historic church” to fund raise then piss away the money. Giving grants to this city is futile. Most of the time they don’t spend the money and don’t even know what it was for or the6 used it for other purposes and just cont8 ue to act the fool.

The Dutch Reformed Church had one chance to actually be restored and preserved when it was placed on the National Historic Register. But . . . like all other worthy projects/attempts to save or preserve NBNY historic architecture and design, it falls prey to inaction, egos and arguments.

Newburgh cannot get out of its own way, I don’t care how many transplants and their money from the boroughs move here, unless and until there is competent governance and true preservationists in charge, the DRC will remain a ruin.
