Disgrace is an understatement. I recently had occasion to listen to Newburgh’s new police commissioner and was surprised to hear him say he still commutes back and forth from westchester. Talk about the taxpayers getting hosed…and not by the FD. I sure would like to know what the city’s policy is regarding take home vehicles and them being used for personal use. And I’m sure we are paying for all the gas and devaluation of his vehicle with all those miles. $$$$ adds up quick. And isn’t it a local law that our department heads have to now reside in newburgh?
