Subject: How the hell did Rausim become Rouse Him?

re: 4328 PNG: Singirok cleared of radio sedition charge

What kind of people do they have working at the ABC?
How the hell did Rausim become Rouse Him? It doesn't even match the original German!
Sorry to be pedantic, but when I hear Radio Australia newsreaders constantly mispronouncing the names of places and people in the Pacific, I get pretty pissed off. Now, to cap it all off, it appears they have nobody who can transcribe Tok Pisin properly.
No doubt we shall soon be back to the days when Papuans and Tolais will\ be quoted as saying "One fella him say..."

Aaarrgghh!

Yours, pedantically

Philip
