I can't help but to wonder the same thing, EB... Looks like we have all gone our separate ways.

All of the forums appear to be dead, or near death. A lot of e-mails have gone unanswered. Friendships I thought would last a long time have vapourized.

I am fortunate enough to be in touch with a couple of the old acro gang, but not very often.

We are a long ways from Hershey, ain't we, EB...

It seems so long ago, more like a dream, but it was a good dream wasn't it?

It was a pretty good dream, even if I got fwapped by Peej about 3 or 4 times... completely undeserved, too.

It is hard to believe it has been 4 years, already

The last person from the Hershey reunion I have seen since is SugarBrat, in Toronto, about 3 years ago. I also last saw her in acro about 6 months ago.

***sigh***

I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt left out in the cold when the L and L lounge collapsed under the weight of differing political opinions on 9/11 (I am guessing here - I never did understand what actually happened).

Another perplexing question is why nobody returned to playing the game of Acrophobia when it returned to the airwaves. Yes, I know we all got lives and didn't wish to go back to the level of addiction we were all in at the beginning, but some once-in-a-while play and interaction would have been nice. Since we've lost that real-time chatting/playing connection, there is not a lot to say in the forums.

Any friendships left unattended for long periods of time have the tendency to wither, but perhaps particularly internet friendships, as there is not the long history of face-to-face contact and shared experiences. Without new encounters there is really nowhere to go.

So, if we're interested in keeping this thing going, perhaps we need to throw a party and invite everyone we know. Alternatively, we could just say it's been nice and bid each other a fond farewell.

Thoughts?

Hmm, well probably online to start, say a pick-up game of acro some night.

I still played Acro, even after the fall of L&L. I was even on a few teams for a while, but lately 30's 2 has been empty for the most part. Remember when you had to stand in line for hours waiting to get into 30's 2?

A nice reunion night of Acro sounds like a blast, maybe even spark some life into the old 30's gang.

wake me up inside
wake me up inside
call my name and save me from the dark
bid my blood to run
before I come undone
save me from the nothing i've become
bring me to life

Just let me know when and I'll be there.

[> How's your weekend looking? -- Femok, 23:19:07 05/30/05 Mon [1]

We could try one of the nights: Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Any preferences? And we should probably pick one of the perpetually empty rooms, say, Flying Toaster, so that there is room for all our prodigal acro friends, because the 30s-2 room is still hard to get into even though nobody we know ever shows up any more. Do any of you like to play Couch rules, where you make up your own topics, because that is a lot of fun and the Couches are often empty too.

How about we try Friday night any time after 9 p.m. Central in either Couch2 or Flying Toaster (to be decided here before Friday)? Here is a back door to Acrophobia so you don't get all the ads:
