Renee, my 36 year old son was a huge fan of the tv series when it played those years ago. He was anxious to have the series on DVD...which took a long time to be released. He has now purchased what is available and is completely blown away by the content. There are "endless" hours of extras, brilliantly executed, showing the important events of the day. No stone has been left unturned, and the quality of content is so high that the series has been ordered into schools for educational purposes. I have seen a little of it for myself and I can absolutely recommend purchasing the series at any price. No one will be disappointed...and I do not believe that anything on this scale has been done before. :-)
