Howdy,

I am sorry, but I do agree with the 1st reply. The series wouldn't have been able to survive for as long as it did if they had not picked Michael Learned and Ralph Waite and Will Geer.

She [Patricia Neal] just sounded so raspy, and her voice wouldn't have carried much of the motherly likeness we think of in Mrs. Walton.
