Subject: G W's death. David W Harper

I watched the episode last week I think it was where G W got killed in a training accident. It takes a lot to bring tears to my eyes by watching something on TV but this episode did.
I was wondering if one of the Walton boys was killed in the war before the series ended?
I also wanted to make a comment about David Harper. His Character as Jim Bob reminds me so much of myself growing up in rural souther Indiana. He was a good hearted kid who liked to tinker with old cars and loved airplanes. I am from a family of six children and I am the youngest and I have tinkered with old cars all my life and still do. I know that David Harper likes to keep a low profile which is fine but I don't seem to notice anybody asking very many questions about him. He is my favorite character because he reminds me so much of myself growing up. We were very much alike as his character of Jim Bob. I would fight with my older brother and argue with my older sisters but it always worked out. His personality was a little different from the rest of the kids and so is mine. I also think he was a very good actor. Of cours all of the characters were very good actors. If anybody has some information on him let me know. I'm pretty sure he was'nt the one that got killed or taken as a prisoner of war but if I remember right on of the boys was. Which one was it? Thanks.
