Hmm, the mare looked bad. She would be lucky if she could be saved...

The colt, now, his actions were a complete surprise. Odd that a wild one would approach so boldly, but it was an opportunity to look the little guy over. Very carefully lowering a hand down to the colt's level, he stood silently, waiting to see if the colt would investigate his hand.
