| I linger in the doorway
Of alarm clock screaming
Monsters calling my name
Let me stay
Where the wind will whisper to me
Where the raindrops
As they’re falling tell a story
In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me
*She slowly stood up, brushing her pants off silently, in a weak attempt to ‘clean’ them. She find a way to get it. She was usually good at thinking… but this whole situation was new to her. How does one go about ‘catching’ a wild horse? It wasn’t common knowledge for her, a New York street kid. She was helpless on his fact. But she wouldn’t just give up either… stubborn one of her better qualities, which often was a fault as well. She brushed her hair out of her face. Examining the stallion curiously, stepping slowly closer to him. would he allow her to touch him again?*
(… she’s a little out of her leguae with horses in General… I am now stuck on a realistic way a 11 year old city kid could go about catching a wild horse… any ideas my brain has officially shut down)
Don’t say I’m out of touch
With this rampant chaos- your reality
I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge
The nightmare I built my own world to escape
In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me
Name: Has none
‘Street name:’ Ivy ‘Hunter’ {+Ivy +}
Age: about 11
Gender: Female
Family: Older sister
Appearance: Slightly wavy/curly red hair that goes to her mid-back very hard to keep ‘tame’. Fair skin, with freckles dotted under her eyes and over her nose, dark brown eyes that sometimes appears black other times they are lighter looking more hazel.
Personality: Growing up on the streets, she has been raised to be tough, and brought up rough, even at her young age she is stubborn, easily angered and once worked up hard to calm back down. Incredibly smart despite her lack of education, her mind works fast, making her good at tough salutations. Also extremely street smart, almost to the point it makes her dangerous, because of this one shouldn’t put any form of violence past her. She is likely to cause some damage. She not friendliest kid in the bunch, and is smart enough to look at everyone as a potential enemy until proven otherwise, which is exactly how you survive in her world. Because of her stubborn nature it is extremely hard to get her to listen, she easily tunes off anything people say. She not ‘anti-social’ but she not the social one either. She is extremely independent, doesn’t really except help from anyone. She doesn’t need it anyway, she could care for herself. She loves her sister, but doesn’t really show it, and often rather mean to the older girl. She has never been properly taught manners or respect for her elders. She has a soft spot for animals, but tries not to show it often, that being a weakness in her mind. She is wild, what some would call a ‘Ferial child’ lacking proper discipline, and parental love she grew to be a rather fierce child. Very hard to get through too, she doesn’t’ seem to want to let anyone past her cold exterior.
Past: ‘Abandoned’ after her parent supposedly died at an orphanage in slum in New-York city. Poorly funded, and lacking proper treatment the place was rundown, and not really cared for. Most of the kids spent there times outside. Because of the lack of money rarely did they have enough food, and the owners of the place didn’t really care about the kids. She was picked on bullied and teased constantly along with her sister by the other kids. The owner of the orphanage never did anything about the treatment the two were getting, turning a blind eye as she was beaten and otherwise mistreated by the older males of the adoption agency. When her sister was about 8 she had enough and decided it was time for them to leave, and one day during earlier spring they both just took off. With the lack of observation over them they managed to get away easily. They never looked back. Since then they raised themselves on street, living like any wild animal would. hiding in shadows, filling up the empty shadows she lived the life of a street kid. Stealing to survive, and sleeping in squats with other street kids, until recently. She was recently found ‘loitering’ and robbing a store that she had been told to leave. The cops were called, and she was ‘placed under arrest’. After finding no legal guardians they dragged her here. (Most of her past is unknown. This is just brief)
Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming
Cannot cease for the fear of silent nights
Oh how I long for the deep sleep dreaming
The goddess of imaginary light
In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me
