Mike, You follow things in radio very closely. And usually have a lot of insight and even inside info. There are quite a few outright lies being told here. You know the key demos and exactly what they are. You also know exactly what Hurley's ratings are. Further, you also know that he has more listeners than the rest in the top 2 key demos. And, that to have more listeners on the weekend vs. weekdays is quite an accomplishment.How bout lending your expertise and give this some clarity. If Hurley's numbers were bad, you know darn well, the haters would be blaring them from the highest mountain top. Your thoughts would be appreciated and respected, Mike.

Harry Hurley did do very well in this book, and deserves the credit for it.
However, he does not have a larger cume then Don Williams or Pinky. Harry had a 5.3 in the 12+ demo. Don had an 8.1, and Pinky had a 6.1.
He does, however have a larger cume then Barbara Altman (4.6) and Jeff Whitaker (4.1).
So, in the daypart breakdowns, he did do quite well.
BUT, In the overall 12+ ratings for the entire station, WOND had a 4.8 and WKXW had a 1.8. WOND beat WKXW.
What you have to realize, is that Hurley is not in competition with the above named hosts. So, it really dosen't mater whose ratings were better.
Also, WOND's high numbers in the 65+ ratings could be a good thing for certain potential advertisers, such as hearing aids, and other products/services aimed at older listeners.

The WOND people are not in direct competition with one another, either. All you can dod is compare the Number os listeners. I'm just a little surprised in Mike. Because he failed to mention that Hurley beats Williams almost 2-1 in the key demo. You know that's not 12-plus Mike. No one uses 12-plus, you know that Mike. The key demo, Hurley wins big. Would you address this Mike? I thought your analysis was very good Mike, thanks. We appreciate it.

Yes, in the key demo, he did beat out Don, Pinky, Jeff, and Barbara.
The main misconseption, about this is that WOND did not do well in the ratings, when in fact they did. Both WOND and WKXW did well. Although, cume persons, WOND is still in the lead.
What it really comes down to, is which stations would adverisers go to. If I ran a buisness, I would advertise on WOND. I would also advertise on WKXW, but, the only show I would advertise on is Hurley's, because that is the only show that is doing really well on the station.

Mike, Whoever has the most listeners, it doesn't matter what time their on. Hosts at the same station don't compete against each other either. It's all about listeners. And in the key demo Hurley has more than all of them. Mike, would you confirm this? Thank you.

Yes, in the KEY DEMO, he does have more then all of them.

Here's Hurley looking for an opinion and favor from Mike when only several months ago he bashed and harrassed his message board with threats of lawsuits, bashed Scott and Casey with terrible words. Now, he wants Mike to back up his twisted take on the ratings. This guy has no shame!
