At first,I was the only moderator of this forum. The moderator has some control over what can be changed and removed from the message board. Also,settings can be changed and some information that is not visible to everyone is available to the moderator(s).Some time later,the entity known as talkOFFline,volunteered to share the responsibility of monitering the board,mostly removing the messages that we pretty much agree are not acceptable.(thank-you talkoffline btw!)

We talk about Local Talk Radio,mostly am,WOND 1400,and WFPG 1450. and other "stuff".

As far as LOCAL personalities using "real" names, some people do and most do not. I do not know if any local station management have any policies regarding employees posting messages,but people are not required to identify themselves here.

The name-calling is tricky,as is any attempt at controling what is said here. A short time ago,I made the mistake of agreeing to ban and delete all mention of HH. The co-moderator of this board and other visitors, did not support my decision and changed the moderator password.(and a couple of other things too).

I agree with your suggestion,but when we attempt to "draw-the-line", CERTAIN people-(the "friends of Hurley"),take offence at the slightest percieved and,the justifiable (to the person who takes the time to post here) criticisms on some of the horrible,outrageous,and just plain wrong(in my opinion,of course), things that that guy says on hh.com or on the air..or does,such as continuing,documented instances of plagerisim ( stealing copyrighted material from other people and presenting it as if it were his own work.)

Also,we have had problems,since the beginning of this mb, with people trying to force this discussion to go away,most of that disruption is in someway connected to discussing mr.hurley. I cannot say for sure WHO would like to see this board closed down and WHO,the EVIL disrupters are. But they ACT like it has something to do with not wanting people to say anything about hurley EXCEPT for complete bullshit/hype about how great that guy is and how bad everyone else is!.......maybe it could be someone ELSE? who just dosen't LIKE FREE-SPEECH ON THE INTERNET?

All in all,although the constant nonsense gets annoying, I think that we (the moderators), have done a pretty good job.-right now I (talkonline),have been banned as a moderator of this group due to talkoffline taking over because of the unpopular rule that I attempted to force on the discussion.

I do not know how long talkoffline will be able to sustain the board alone. Right now,talkoffline and I are in a stand-off of sorts, me waiting for talkoffline to say "help",and I think that talkoffline is waiting for me to ask for the password.

Talkoffline has not shown any sign of distress yet,and I am still trying to decide if I want to be involved in the discussion at all.
