This is the first that I've heard of this, but,if it's true,....what does this say about a few people being able to force someone to shut-up? Especially in TALK RADIO?????
A few weeks ago,it seemed like EVERY host,from RUSH,to,SAVAGE,and even our LOCALS (we know who they are),AND even the CALLERS!(they know who they are),were ALL spouting the company line to people who called-in with anti- or even ambivilant statements about a possible WAR. It was like a memo went out that said something like "Anyone who is not 100% pro-war,and says anything about it or questions a war,will be immediately called every name in the book starting with "UN-AMERICAN."-(hey!-them's fighting words!)...and God help them if they actually protest!
........anyhow,this take back the media group,has decided to make an example of RUSH, and they report that they have really done some damage.
Like I said, I really don't know that much about it,but,if you like RUSH LIMBAUGH, and you don't like the idea of having his sponsors being pressured like this, go buy some BLUE EMU stuff!(c'mon-you've been wanting to try it right?).....according to the story that I've heard so far,the folks at BLUE EMU,said that they will stick with RUSH during this "painfull" time.
Whoever this group is, I don't think that I like it's tactics. WHY NOT LET THE LISTENERS DECIDE? Instead of trying to make RUSH stop talking?????? DO THEY THINK THAT AMERICANS WHO LISTEN TO TALK RADIO CAN'T MAKE-UP THEIR OWN MINDS?
Personally,I didn't like or agree with all of that "un-American" stuff. I think that some people just have their doubts about a war, BUT, RUSH and others are right in pointing out facts about certain organizations (left-wing?),that are jumping on the peace-train.
What exactly don't they (Take Back The Media) want us to hear?
WHY NOT?
Because they DON'T DARE have anyone challenge them.
I'm pretty sure,since they proudly align themseves with "leftys",that I can call them COMMIE,FASCISTS!.
AND that little stunt,of getting AMAZON DOT COM to DROP RUSH because he used the term "Feminazi",while glorifying AMAZON'S support of "National Public Radio", (PTTTTWOOOWY!-a spitting sound)...DISGUSTING!
I may just send AMAZON an email myself! National Public Radio,AND the Public Broadcasting System,actually have a MONOPOLY on certain programs that they actually have exclusive rights to broadcast,YET THEY DON'T! AND-by doing THAT,WE,the public,who supports them (NPR,PBS,)are BLOCKED from seeing good programs like EAST-ENDERS just because THEY OWN THE BROADCAST RIGHTS! AND,some EXCELLENT RADIO PROGRAMS that YOU and I will NEVER hear,because NPR OWNS ALL EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO BROADCAST,but they choose NOT to-EVEN THOUGH WE (taxpayers) SUPPORT THE VERY PRODUCTION and SALARYS etc. of some really good radio programs that you wouldn't know even EXIST( because they aree to busy broadcasting CRAP!). THROUGH TAXPAYER FUNDED GRANTS!
Wish I had seen O'Reily going after them!
