Hi There,
My husband and I want so very much to adopt a baby. We have a wonderful, loving and stable home to share with a little one.
We were married in May 2002, but have known each other a little over 8 years. We cannot have biological children. But we know in our hearts that we really want a family and it doesn’t matter to us how our family is created. That is why we have started to try to build our family via adoption. Adoption will make our dream of being parents come true. We currently have no other children, but would like to eventually have two or three children as we feel siblings are so important when growing up and share a bond like no other in the world.
A little about us...
Mike is the most amazing man in the world. He is 34 and works as Medical Laboratory Technician in a hospital. He has been in this position for 10 years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and just recently completed another Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science so that he could advance in his career to better support the family we want so much. He has been in Colorado for 15 years, but is originally from New York. A few years ago Mike's brother and sister and their families also moved to Colorado to be with us, because family is so important to all of us. Mike is going to be the world's greatest dad. He has the patience of a saint and is such a kind, loving man. My heart melts whenever I catch him looking at child and I see that sparkle in his eye. I cannot imagine a better husband or father. Jess is so special to me and she is truly a mother without a child. Jess has been through so much trying to have a child. Being a mom is what she was born to do. She watches our nephews and nannies at any chance she gets. We have been through so much, I just can't wait to make her dreams of being a mom, and mine of being a dad, come true. Jess is 30 and she works for the Federal Government, helping to manage an occupational health program. She moved to Colorado 8 years ago, also from New York. Not long ago her mom also moved to Colorado to be with us. Jess has a Bachelor's degree in both Psychology and English and even did some Master's level work in Family Counseling. Jess is the most loving and compassionate person I know and she is awesome with children. She has a natural maternal instinct about her and she takes really good care of everyone. Hobbies and Interests
We have lots of hobbies and interests. Mike and I both enjoy time with our families and our pets; we have two dogs and two cats. Their names are Spaz, Dude, Moose and Thor. We also enjoy spending time at the theater, museums and going to the mountains and camping, hiking and boating. Our favorite shared pastime is traveling because we get to experience and learn new things. Mike also loves to read, scuba dive and ski, while I also enjoy snorkeling and music.
Our Home
We have a beautiful 4- bedroom house in a great neighborhood in Colorado with lots of walking trails, parks and playgrounds. We also have a great big yard to play in. The house is in a suburban area, but within a half hour drive to both the city and the mountains. We chose this area because we wanted to raise children in a place where they could have a great balance of different experiences while growing up. There are also some awesome schools in the area and lots of other kids in our neighborhood.
Why Would We Be Good Parents?
We know you only want the best for your baby and you want them to have the best parents possible. So, why do we think we would make great parents? The most important thing is that we love children and cannot imagine a life without them. We have been blessed with a marriage that is filled with love and is very strong and stable. We would like to provide our unconditional love, nurturing, and support to a child. We are both also very open, kind, loving, affectionate, and patient people. We also have lots of experience with children. We have six nephews and a niece. We love taking them to the zoo, having sleepovers, and even getting up in the middle of the night with them when they have a bad dream. Some of our fondest memories are of doing special things with them and watching them grow. That is why we want a family of our own so much.
We can only imagine how tough it must be to make this decision for you and your baby. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
