Much as it pains me to contemplate life without a daily dose of his Lordship, it does seem as if discussion has died down since the LJ books are no longer new. Well, Sistahs, I still love reading everything here. But a combination of my own life being squirrelly right now and my having read the LJG books so ridiculously quickly -- couldn't put them down!-- means I have no deep insights at all -- which is why I appreciate yours. - Catherine, if you could find the CDs and do a "re-listen" I think you would enjoy them much more. I know what you mean about life being "squirrelly" and find the books on CD (or Ipod if you are lucky enough to own one and savvy enough to know how to do those downloads Lady Jane found so cheap for us) force you to slow down and really savor the story. The added bonus is you can still move on with at least the mindless but necessary parts of your life while listening. I find I can clean, cook, shop, exercise, and do chores like yard work and laundry and never miss a word. I don't feel nearly as resentful that I am often the only one in the household doing all that crap as long as I can do it with the books in my ears. (NT) -- Jane, 05:59:21 03/21/08 Fri
