Subject: We don't get anything elsewhere in the books but LJ did ask the priest to send him information LJ tells the priest "I will send an additional five pound each year, if you will advise me once a year of his continued welfare...Send me a lock of hair. Every year". We never hear anything but I think it's safe to assume this happened.

It doesn't seem LJ had any direct contact with John Cinnamon - maybe just a letter from the monks stating he had reached his majority and was now making his own way in the world.
