Subject: Funny, it never even occured to me that John might have been referring to Jamie. That puts a different spin on things!
In reply to: kgp 's message, "I'm listening (again) to Brotherhood of the Blade and am at Geneva's funeral. John's encounter with Jamie in the chapel during the night just gives me chills. First, that Jamie was so remorseful and blaming himself for her death and then John figuring things out as he sat in the cold stillness letting the pieces fall into place - "Oh, my dear. What have you done?"" on 06:06:09 05/19/10 Wed

  • I think John was referring to Geneva. Up to that point he had no reason to believe Jamie was involved in anyway. (NT) -- JanR, 08:07:27 05/21/10 Fri

  • I think when John said that was the moment he realized. John is very perceptive; he knew there was something wrong with the Dunsanys that was"beyond the tragedy of Geneva's death", add to that Jamie's odd behaviour, which John realizec was penance, and the way he said "I was her" groom (my italics). The next day at the funeral John knew full well about William's parentage. (NT) -- jayn, 09:03:16 05/21/10 Fri
