I really hoped they would in Succubus, when the idea first presented itself. Then, (which book was it when John went to visit and Stephan was basically trying to kill himself?) I really hoped it would happen. They are very similar men and it wouldn't be hard at all for John to come up with a reason to more or less live with Stephan, even if only part time. The only fly in that ointment is Louisa, although I don't think she particularly cares for Stephan, as such, she just needs an appropriate husband.
